A wonderful and helpful reader suggested that I go grocery shopping at Aldi, which I did. I loved it!!!
It was really cheap, and I found a lot of goodies. I was one happy girl!!!

I read a post on Facebook that I wanted to share with you all:

Think about wealth rather than debt. If you think “I’m going to get out of debt” you will keep thinking about debt. If you think “My financial situation will contribute to my overall wealth,” that thought can keep you going.

It is food for thought I guess...

Unmotivated, Scared and Worried

Have you ever wake up and feel so depressed about your financial situation? This how I feel this morning.

I realize that it does not take "a lot of efforts to get into debts" but it takes a LOT of courage and effort to get out of debts.

I need some words of encouragement today. I feel so depressed about the whole situation!

Grocery Bill

Saturday, April 20th, 2013

I went grocery shopping today. My goal was to spend no more than $100. I spent $116. I try to use coupons - I am either not good at it? or lazy...but the maximum savings I usually get with coupons is about $20. I wish I could do little those people on "Extreme Couponing".

Any suggestions? Ideas? to save on groceries? Thank you!

Today is a new day as they say.

Last year, I started gardening. I was going through some very rough times, both emotionally and financially, and gardening is a way to keep my mind busy.

"Most people are aware of the physical benefits of gardening but they don't always think about the mental benefits of gardening. Gardening can provide some very significant and much needed mental benefits in addition to physical exercise such as

1) Stress Relief -
2) Anxiety Relief -

It is also a great way to save money. I am so proud of myself when I eat the results of my hard work. Not only gardening is  a great and rewarding pastime, but the crops are fresh, taste better and the vitamins and other benefits they contain, such as antioxidants, are more potent.

Anyway, my goal this year is to learn how to do "canning". Any suggestions? Advices? In order to save money, I posted a "wanted ad" on freecycle.org. I found dozen of Mason jars. I am so happy and excited! Now I need recipes. :)

It is beautiful outside. Windy but sunny...Have a nice day!

My 1st post - Welcome my friends!

After MANY years of living in debts, I decided to put a stop to it. So this is my journey to, hopefully, be one day, OUT OF DEBTS!!!

I have been reading a lot of blogs - and they have helped me tremendously to get started and motivated on this journey.

I do not have credit cards debts... However, I owe a lot of money to the IRS, I have a car loan and a lovely (not!) student loan as well as other medical bills here and there.  The overall picture is not pretty...I also have to learn how to budget, and use a bank account without running into overdraft fees all the times.  At this point, I am too ashamed to give you a number...

Gurus like Dame Ramsey and Suze Orman are wonderful...but sometimes not very realistic...for me anyway...

I would like to use this blog to share any savings tips or methods that I am finding along the way. As well, I am welcoming ANY suggestions (please be positive!)

So, let's get this show on the road!
